Kora's Corner Open Letter to You

Dear Point Peeps,

After four years, we made the difficult decision to close Kora’s Corner. December 28 was our final day of operation, and we no longer occupy the space.

The primary reason is simple: a significant rent increase made continuing no longer sustainable. Combined with rising overhead, inconsistent tariffs that put pressure on our vendors, and a decline in cross-border traffic, the financial reality shifted beyond what we could responsibly carry.

We adapted wherever we could. We worked longer hours, adjusted inventory, and absorbed costs for as long as possible. But continuing would have meant sacrificing our health, stability, and family. That wasn’t a trade we were willing to make.

Kora’s Corner was never a failure. It was joy, community, and connection. It was candy tables, conversations, kids pulling parents inside, and parents coming back “just to look.” You made this place what it was.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who supported us, showed up, and believed in us. In a small border town, that support means everything.

Thank you for being part of our story.

With so much Love,

Kora & Staff
